Advancing Video Anomaly Detection: A Concise Review and a New Dataset
To Appear in NeurIPS 2024 Datasets and Benchmarks Track
This paper reviews Video Anomaly Detection (VAD), focusing on its applications and the need for concise resources for researchers. It highlights the importance of dataset quality in model performance and introduces the Multi-Scenario Anomaly Detection (MSAD) dataset, featuring 14 diverse scenarios. This dataset aims to improve anomaly detection across varying conditions and supports recent model analyses to address VAD challenges effectively.

TrackNetV4: Enhancing Fast Sports Object Tracking with Motion Attention Maps
    Submitted to ICASSP
This paper introduces TrackNetV4, an enhancement of the TrackNet series for tracking high-speed objects like tennis balls and shuttlecocks. It addresses challenges in partial occlusion and low visibility by combining visual features with learnable motion attention maps through a motion-aware fusion mechanism. This method emphasizes key motion areas, improving tracking accuracy significantly. Experimental results confirm that TrackNetV4 enhances the performance of TrackNetV2 and V3 on relevant datasets.
